The new DA16200 Thing+ is now available as well as the new ESP32 IoT RedBoard Kit!
Hello everyone and happy Friday, once again! We are back with another week of new products off the heels of another successful Dumpster Dive event. We are ready to show off what we have for you this fine Friday and we are going to start with our new DA16200 Thing Plus. This new WiFi development platform is sure to impress with its ultra-low power mode and Feather-compatible form-factor. Following that, our new ESP32 IoT RedBoard is receiving its own starter kit! Don’t worry, we have a guide for that! Now, let’s jump in and take a closer look at this week’s two new products.
Low Power WiFi capabilities with Thing Plus!
The SparkFun DA16200 Thing Plus utilizes a highly integrated ultra-low power WiFi system on chip (SoC) from Dialog that allows users to develop WiFi and IoT solutions. The DA16200 module contains an 802.11b/g/n radio (PHY), a baseband processor, a media access controller (MAC), on-chip memory and a host networking application processor all on a single silicon die. To make the Thing Plus as easy to use as possible, we’ve made the board Feather-compatible and it utilizes our handy Qwiic Connect System which means no soldering or shields are required to connect it to the rest of your system!
Just in case you wanted to know more about the ESP32 IoT RedBoard!
The SparkFun IoT RedBoard Kit is intended to provide you with everything you need to get up and running with the IoT RedBoard – ESP32. Included in this kit is a SparkFun IoT RedBoard an ESP32 Development Board, a Qwiic High Precision Temperature Sensor, a 100mm long Qwiic cable, a reversible USB A to C cable, and a 1GB microSD card.
That’s it for this week. As always, we can’t wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we’ll see you next week with even more new products!
